4-CPPU is a synthetic cytokinin. It shows high activity in inducing parthenocarpy in Chinese whiteflowered gourd (Lagenaria leucantha) (Roussos et al., 2011). Can be used in somatic embryogenesis applications (Fiore et al., 2002).
